Keep the prototype usable in the two agreed languages without deferring permission and error copy until after implementation.
Scope
Use English as the base language and provide Spanish through native Xcode localization resources, following macOS language preferences rather than adding an in-app language selector.
Cover menu actions, Settings, first-run copy, permission rationale, HTTP acknowledgement, destructive queue changes, SOS confirmation/results and diagnostic UI labels.
Keep product name, bundle identifier and stable technical error codes unchanged. Format dates, times, units and counts appropriately for the selected language.
Use native controls with keyboard navigation, accessible labels and light/dark appearance. Match the agreed minimal structure rather than reproducing a mobile screen literally.
Acceptance criteria
English and Spanish launches expose the same actions and settings without raw localization keys or missing critical translations.
Permission rationale and SOS/HTTP/discard confirmations are understandable in both languages.
Queue counts and timestamps remain readable without truncating essential actions at normal window sizes.
Main controls are keyboard-accessible and menu-bar state has a textual accessible description.
No real identifier from reference screenshots is copied into UI defaults or test data.
Validation
Perform a targeted native UI smoke check in both languages and appearances. Integrated interface/accessibility completion and the original icon are covered by PROTO-015 before MVP acceptance. Additional community languages remain outside this MVP.
